Dr Marsal is a Blockchain for Cities pioneer. She championed the inclusion of the first ever teaching programme on blockchain dedicated to cities and communities -the Blockchain4Cities- in different university master's programmes and other scholar training courses.
Past editions of the course include:
Blockchain Catalunya Association, June 2018
International Summer School, Pompeu Fabra University, July 2018
Current editions schedule:
Association of Civil Engineers of Catalonia, December 2018-March 2019 -course syllabus-
Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, January 2019-February 2019 -course syllabus-
Upcoming editions are the following:
UPC Master´s programme in Blockchain Technologies, October 2018-October 2019 -master´s programme-
Furthermore, in our mission to support intelligent development, at Intelligent'Er we aslo elaborated a pioneering training programme to help cities and communities incorporate the blockchain technology in their processes.:

The Blockchain4Cities programme is formed of two modules, Training and Mentoring. The first module on Training is a methodology for the creation of urban projects blockchain-based, including its programming specifications. The second module on Mentoring is a ready-to-market methodology to implement the previously created blockchain-based projects.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Both modules are four sessions each and can be grouped in two full days or distributed at your convenience. We will come to your city since this is an on-site-only programme. WHY AND WHO: This programme is targted at city councils and other authorities administering urban competencies to gain competive advantage in the delivery of their urban agendas and programmes by using Blockchain technology. |
Training module
The Training Module has four sessions:
The disruptive element: Identify your stakeholders, build your system’s forum (data model).
We will use examples on Urban Policies to showcase the programming of disruption.
We will use examples on Urban Policies to showcase the programming of disruption.
The distributed element: Identify your subsystems, build system’s interactions (relationships model).
We will use examples on Urban Planning to showcase the programming of distribution.
We will use examples on Urban Planning to showcase the programming of distribution.
The transparency element: Identify your constraints, build system’s rules (operational model)
We will use examples on Urban Regulations to show case the programming of transparency..
We will use examples on Urban Regulations to show case the programming of transparency..
The decentralised element: Identify your opportunities, build system’s applications (export model)
We will use examples on Urban Standards to show case the prgramming of decentralisation.
